A Corner of Paradise

There is an exotic corner on the campus of Utah State University known as the Biology greenhouse. Within these premises, you can wander among mysterious cycads, unusual cacti, and spectacular birds of paradise. What appear to be giant, furry, red caterpillars are actually the flowers of the colorful chenille plant. This is indeed "the coolest greenhouse on campus." |

Built in the mid-1960s, the greenhouse is an important teaching resource for the Department of Biology. The plant specimens are used in numerous teaching labs and offer students an opportunity to study a wide range of plant life. The specimens are divided between four rooms, each of which serves a different purpose.
