The facility has several light microscopes that can be used:

  • A BioRad MRC 1024 laser scanning confocal microscope with a krypton/argon
    laser having three excitation lines.
  • A Nikon TE-300 Eclipse inverted microscope with standard visible and epi-
    fluorescence (xenon lamp) capabilities
  • An Olympus BH-2 epi-fluorescence microscope (mercury lamp) and video
    monitor and printer.
