The public health profession provides opportunities to work with people at the community level and in the workplace, in jobs that promote the general health and welfare of people and their working and living environments. Traditionally, public health has focused on the study and prevention of communicable diseases through nutritional factors, immunization, and environmental sanitation. While these issues are still important, the public health profession has broadened its scope to include all aspects of disease prevention, environmental protection and health promotion.
USU is proud to have one of the oldest BS public health programs in the nation.
